24.1 Qualifications for Admission

  1. The admission requirements for the Master of Human Kinetics and Recreation are as given under the General Regulations of the School of Graduate Studies. Admission is limited and competitive. The deadline for receipt of applications is February 1 for admission into the subsequent Fall semester. Preference for admission may be given to students with undergraduate degrees in relevant disciplines, with a minimum overall B average. Applications submitted through the School of Graduate Studies will be evaluated by the Graduate Studies Committee of the School of Human Kinetics and Recreation. Admission of a student to the program shall be made by the Dean of Graduate Studies.

  2. Students applying to the Master of Human Kinetics and Recreation will demonstrate a minimum of two years of professional experience deemed appropriate.

  3. Only in exceptional circumstances, and only on the recommendation of the Dean of the School of Human Kinetics and Recreation, shall the Dean of Graduate Studies consider applicants who do not meet the requirements above.
