Address:
Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook, NL

I was drawn to Memorial University because of its strong commitment to patient‑centered cancer care and its vision for growing radiation oncology services in Newfoundland and Labrador. The opportunity to contribute to a province that is expanding access to advanced cancer treatment is something that resonates deeply with me.

What keeps me interested in staying at MUN is the sense of community I have experienced throughout my interactions with the team. People here are warm, supportive, and genuinely dedicated to improving care for patients. I appreciate the unique character of Newfoundland and Labrador, from the natural beauty of the landscape to the welcoming nature of its communities. It feels like a place where I could build a rewarding career while also enjoying a balanced and fulfilling life.

Research/Teaching Summary

My research focuses on improving outcomes for patients receiving radiation therapy, with a particular interest in CNS, GU, and thoracic oncology. I have been involved in clinical research throughout my training and fellowship years, contributing to peer‑reviewed publications, textbook chapters, and multicenter projects. My work includes studies on stereotactic radiosurgery, SBRT, hippocampal‑sparing techniques, prostate radiotherapy, and tumor response in hepatocellular carcinoma. I continue to collaborate with colleagues across Canada and internationally, and I remain committed to research that directly improves patient care and advances treatment techniques.

In addition to research, I enjoy teaching and working with trainees. I have supported residents and medical students through clinical teaching, case discussions, and involvement in ongoing research projects. I value the opportunity to mentor learners and contribute to an educational environment that encourages curiosity, clinical excellence, and evidence‑based practice.
