Pre-Record with WebEx

If you have a WebEx account, you can record yourself giving your presentation. It is a simple as loging in by yourself, sharing your screen, and recording the presentation. Then all you need to do is send us the files.

If you are uncertain and want some assistance, we can meet with you on WebEx to make sure you are setup OK. If you don’t have a WebEx account, you can arrange a recording session with us. Please contact us at D2L@med.mun.ca

Here are some tips:

Pre-Record with PowerPoint

Before you Start

Microsoft has changed its support of older versions of PowerPoint files. So there is an extra step you must take before you start recording. If you are using a file that was created and saved as a .ppt you are likely to run into some issues that may result in you losing your audio files.

Before you record, please check that your PowerPoint file has the extension .pptx and when you open it, it does notsay Compatibility Mode at the top of the screen. If you are unsure, please send us your PowerPoint before you start and we can check it. You can also try a few slides and send it to us as a test. Email us at D2L@med.mun.ca.  If your files are too large to send over email, please use the D2L Dropbox. If you need log on credentials, please email us and we will send you instructions.
