Interviews

Offers of interview are determined by the Interview Committee, a sub-committee of the Admissions Committee who select the most suitable candidates to fill the number of interview seats available in any given year. Both the Interview and Admissions Committee employ a holistic approach to application review using a standardized rubric.

Applicants offered an interview will have to provide official transcripts for all of those initially submitted with their application. Details and timelines on doing this will be provided with the interview invitation.

Interviews will occur virtually via Kira Talent.

Memorial employs two types of interviews, a multiple mini-interview (MMI) and a Competency Assessment (CA), which is centred around the CanMeds roles and asks the applicant personal questions about themselves and their experiences. The MMI is 80 minutes and the CA is 30 minutes.

The decision of the Interview Committee to extend or reject offers of interview is final, there is no appeal process.
