Summer Undergraduate Research Awards (SURA)
Faculty Supervisor Identification Phase
Faculty interested in making an application for a 1st or 2nd year medical student or an undergraduate non-medical student to participate in their research project must complete a Supervisor Identification Form (SIF). Please note this program is open to Memorial University students only.
Medical Students:

Student Application Phase
A list of potential supervisors and their research projects is available below It is the responsibility of the student to connect with a supervisor, and together prepare and submit a SURA application to the Office of Research & Graduate Studies. Each student will be permitted to submit only one application.

FAQ'S:
When will I hear the results for my SURA application?
All applicants will be notified by the end of April 2023 whether successful or unsuccessful
What is the length of the research period?
Non-Medical Students: 8 weeks (pending the availability of funds)
Medical Students: 4 weeks (pending the availability of funds)
When do I submit my final SURA report?
Final reports are due to the Research & Graduate Studies Office (rgs.funding@med.mun.ca) by Wednesday, August 25, 2023
