Postgraduate Medical Education (PGME) does not offer observership/shadowing experiences at Memorial University.

When considering applications for residency positions, observership/shadowing experiences at other institutions are not recognized as active clinical training or practice by either PGME or the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador. 

Current postgraduate residents from other universities who want to obtain clinical experience in Newfoundland may meet the requirements for an elective at Memorial University. Please view the Electives section of our website for more information.
