Preceptors' Symposium
Memorial University’s Faculty of Medicine will be hosting this year’s Preceptors' Symposium at Eagle’s Perch Clubhouse, located at the Humber Valley Resort. Please join us on September 22nd & 23rd, 2026 for this exciting event.
Space will be limited and there is no virtual option.

Travel
Attendees within NL who are travelling to Humber Valley are eligible to receive travel reimbursement. All required receipts must be submitted following the event to receive reimbursement.
The following items will be reimbursed:
- Roundtrip mileage or airfare (at the lowest obtainable cost, not to exceed full economy)
- Meal per diems during travel (breakfast $12, lunch $20, supper $28)
The following items will not be reimbursed:
- Vehicle fuel receipts
- Rental vehicles
All travel must follow the university’s Travel Policy.
Travel details will be requested from you after you register.
Attendees from outside Newfoundland and Labrador are not eligible for travel reimbursement.
Accommodation

Stipend in Lieu of Clinical Sacrifice
Eligible part-time, fee-for-service faculty within NL will receive a stipend in lieu of missed clinical work who are attending the symposium in lieu of lost clinical earnings for a maximum amount of $1,000.
Payment information will be requested from you after you register. This must be provided in order to receive payment.
Attendees from outside Newfoundland and Labrador are not eligible for this stipend.

Virtual meeting information will be provided prior to the event for those who select the virtual option during registration.
Physicians with a Memorial faculty appointment can attend the symposium in-person or virtually. Those from outside of NL are not eligible for travel and accommodations reimbursement, or the stipend in lieu of clinical earnings.
