Bonavista

The Bonavista Peninsula Health Centre has 10 inpatient beds which includes one palliative care bed.  The Protective Care Unit has 13 beds which includes 1 respite bed.  The sevices include 24 hour emergency services, diagnostic imaging, x-ray, diabetic education, dietician, chemotherapy services, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, phototherapy, mental health, outpatient clinics and inpatient services. 

Please remember to wear your name tag at all times while in the clinic. No aftershave, perfume or scented deodorants are permitted. 
 
As a medical student/resident you have already received an Eastern Health orientation in St. John’s and this is consistent with orientation that is done elsewhere in the region.  As a result, medical students and residents are not required to redo the orientation while training elsewhere in the rural Eastern Region.

Transportation & Accommodations

There is no public transit in Bonavista but cab services are available.  The phone number for Bonavista Cabs is 709-468-2457, and C&C Cabs is 709-468-6195/1186.
