Bonavista

The Bonavista Peninsula Health Centre has 10 inpatient beds which includes one palliative care bed. The protective care unit has 13 beds which includes one respite bed. The services include 24-hour emergency services, diagnostic imaging, x-ray, diabetic education, dietician, chemotherapy services, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, phototherapy, mental health, outpatient clinics and inpatient services. 

As a medical student/resident you have already received an Eastern Health orientation in St. John’s and this is consistent with orientation done elsewhere in the region. As a result, medical students and residents are not required to redo the orientation while training elsewhere in the rural easternregion.

Transportation & Accommodations

There is no public transit in Bonavista, however taxi services are available: Bonavista Cabs at 709-468-2457 and C&C Cabs at 709-468-6195/1186.
