February 22, 2027 – Quality Improvement in Clinical Practice

Objectives:

  1. Develop a focused quality improvement project by defining a problem, writing a SMART aim statement, and selecting appropriate outcome, process, and balancing measures.
  2. Apply practical quality improvement tools to identify root causes, test change ideas, and evaluate improvement.
  3. Identify opportunities to integrate quality improvement into routine clinical practice and residency training.
  4. Describe key principles of implementation, stakeholder engagement, sustainability, and spread of successful quality improvement initiatives.
  5. Critically evaluate quality improvement projects and apply lessons learned to improve care within their own clinical practice.

  1. Objectives: Gain knowledge in the skills of everyday consent, personal and relational boundaries/expectations, key components of respect, and skills of interpersonal effectiveness
  2. Gain knowledge in how emotional regulation practices enhance relational skills including relationship building and maintaining
  3. Practice identifying which skills are most effective in which scenarios
  4. Practice utilizing the skills in case scenarios
  5. Link understand of these skills directly to enhancing the workplace experience for those we work with and those we serve
