Peter CollingwoodProfessor of Radiology and Chair MD Memorial, FRCPC
Dr. Peter Collingwood completed his undergraduate medical education at Memorial University in 1981. After completion of his undergraduate training he completed a year of Internal Medicine at Dalhousie and returned to Memorial to commence his radiology residency.
Dr. Collingwood is currently staff radiologist with the Diagnostic Imaging Program at Eastern Health, General Hospital site, and he is a Clinical Professor in the Discipline of Radiology at Memorial University.
Dr. Collingwood is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and serves as Director of the English Oral Examination for Diagnostic Radiology.
Dr. Collingwood specializes in Interventional Radiology and is actively involved both nationally and internationally. He is a founding member of the Canadian Association of Interventional Radiologists (CIRA) and has held the post of President from 2005-2007, and 2010-2011.
