Interests: fundraising for Spin4Kids, humanitarian and global health aid

Dr Barter is an emergency physician at Eastern Health. He is chairman of the Canada-wide Spin4Kids fundraising initiative, raising funds for the Goodlife Kids Foundation, a charity whose mandate is to help Canadian children lead healthy and active lives. He is also actively involved with medical aid missions to Haiti.
