Interviews
Information
Interviews will occur virtually via Kira Talent.
Memorial employs two types of interviews, a multiple-mini interview (MMI) and a Competency Assessment (CA), which is centred around the CanMeds roles and asks the applicant personal questions about themselves and their experiences.
The decision of the Interview Committee to extend or reject offers of interview is final, there is no appeal process.
Accommodations
Memorial University’s Faculty of Medicine is committed to offering an inclusive learning environment, and this starts at the time you apply to medical school. We have several candidates every year who require formal disability accommodations for the interview process, and we are committed to supporting learners in accordance with the Newfoundland and Labrador Human Rights Code, as well as Memorial’s Accessibility Policy for Students with Disabilities.
All interviews are held virtually.
If you are applying to the Faculty of Medicine at Memorial University and believe you will require accommodations to participate fully in the interview process, please reach out to Accessibility Services (Blundon Centre) at blundon@mun.ca or via phone at 709 864 2156.
The deadline to request accomodations for your interview is December 5, 2025. Please note that offers of interview may be sent within 3 weeks of the interview date. To avoid any delays in assessing your needs, you should anticipate being offered an interview and make an appointment to be assessed for formal accommodations. Requesting formal accommodations through Accessibility Services is prepatory only, in the event you are offered an interview for medical school, . As soon as your application is submitted, it would be wise to request an appointment at the Blundon Centre. Your application process is separate from the accommodations process through Accessibility Services, and the Admissions Office would not be aware of your request for accommodations until after you receive an interview offer (if you are successful). For more information visit Accessibility Services (the Blundon Centre).
This contact should be initiated as early as possible, but no later than 6 weeks prior to your interviews. Since interview notifications may not go out until 3 weeks prior to the interview date, you should reach out to the Blundon Centre in anticipation of an interview.
