Fees

Bonne Bay Aquarium and Research Station offers visiting researchers, artists, and students a variety of services, from dormitory accommodations and food services to teaching and research space and equipment. We strive to provide our services at rates that reflect limited user budgets and real costs of providing the services. We provide some of the best fee-for-service rates of all field stations across the country.

The following rates are effective from 1 January 2026 to 31 December 2026, but subject to change. All visitors are encouraged to speak with the station manager at least 30 days prior to arrival to discuss room sharing preferences and dietary restrictions.

Accommodations. Each room includes a 3-piece bathroom, and towels, bedding, a desk and a wardrobe for each person.

Meals. The meal fees are for access to the fully equipped and stocked kitchen. All meals are self-catered for breakfast and lunch, and assigned cooperative/team meal preparation for supper.

Facility rental.

Lecture theater, library/gallery, and laboratory.

Individuals and groups who are staying in the Station’s dormitory may use the theater, library/gallery, and laboratory at no additional cost, if available.  Please check with Manager for its availability.

Equipment use rates. The station has several boats, a pickup truck and a van, as well as a variety of sampling equipment and safety gear available at the following rates:
