The Psychology Society is a student-run organization with goals to raise awareness about mental health, engage students in the field of psychology, and to foster a positive and encouraging learning environment for students. These goals are accomplished by: 

• Increasing awareness about mental health.
• Supporting mental health initiatives in the community through fundraising.
• Engaging students at Grenfell Campus through fun events and fundraisers.

Fundraising activities are held during the year, which allow the Psychology Society to plan numerous events (e.g., social with psychology professors, graduation festivities) and donate to non-profit organizations.

The Psychology Society meets weekly throughout the academic year. Everyone is welcome to attend meetings. Keep an eye out for posters around campus with more information on how to be involved in the Psychology Society. President

Hi everyone! My name is Grace Ryan, I am a 4th year BA, psychology major. I plan to go on to get my masters and pursue a career in counseling! I am so excited to be a president of the Psych Society for the 26/27 school year! The psychology program has brought me many meaningful connections and experiences, as has the society! This will be my third year on the society and I am greatly looking forward to all the future events we have planned! In my spare time you can find me in the dem room enjoying my lunch, watching reality TV with my friends or at home with my cat! I cannot wait to see what this year brings and I hope this is the best year yet!

Vice President

Hi everyone! My name is Brooke Eason, and I am the Vice President for this year's Psych Society. I’m currently a fifth-year  student doing my BA in Psychology. My goal is to do the social work program after my psychology degree and help advocate for people who are struggling with mental health and addictions. Which is one reason why I love the psych society as we all help to advocate and support for the things that truly matter. You can find me in AS348 having a chat, but I love any physical activity, especially if it's outside! This is my second year on the executive team, and I’m excited to be a part of it again! I am excited for what this year has in store for us and look forward to getting to know everyone!

Hello everyone! My name is Paige Canning and I’m the secretary for this year’s Psych Society. I’m currently in my fourth year doing a BA of Psychology. The psychology program here at Grenfell is so rewarding, and I’m so grateful to be able to complete my degree here with so many wonderful people and professors. When I’m not at school or work you can find me hanging out with my friends, listening to music, or reading a good book. This is my first year on the psych society and I’m so excited to help plan events and activities that help bring people together. I can’t wait to meet new people and help make memorable experiences for everyone!!

Hi everyone! My name is Olivia Madore and I am one of the social media reps for this year’s psych society. I’m currently in my fourth year doing a B.A in psychology. The psychology program at Grenfell Campus has been an exciting and meaningful part of my university experience. When I’m not at school or work, you can find me hanging out with my family and friends, listening to music, or walking my dogs. This is my first year on the executive team and I’m so excited to be involved. I am looking forward to meeting new people and making lots of memories along the way!

Hi everyone! My name is Fabian Irabor and I’m the treasurer of  the psych society this year! I’m currently in my third year of my B.A in psychology. This is my first year on the executive team and I look forward to getting more involved in the society and meeting new people on campus. Outside school I enjoy hanging out with friends and  going for drives. I’m looking forward to all the fun events and memories this year.

Hi everyone! My name is Mackenzie Coles and I am one of the social media reps for this year's psych society. I am currently in my third year doing a B.A in psychology. My goal after completing my psychology degree is to attend medical school with plans of becoming a paediatrician. Outside of school, I love to stay active! I play multiple sports some of which being ball hockey, hockey, soccer and softball. I’m really looking forward to being a part of the psych society, getting to know everyone, and being involved with all the exciting things we have planned!
