Your registration time
All students are assigned a time to register. Your assigned time is the earliest that you may select and add courses to your class schedule. You are eligible to register from that time until the close of registration.
It is important to register on the assigned date and time, or as soon as possible thereafter, to allow access to the best selection of available courses.
Confirm your program of study, eligibility to register and view your registration time in the Prepare for registration section in Student Self-Service.
If you have not registered at the University within the last three semesters, you will be required to complete an application for readmission.
Registration times are assigned approximately one month before registration begins. If you do not receive a registration time email registrar@mun.ca.
Check your @mun.ca email regularly as this is how the Registrar's Office communicates with you.
If you do not have access to the internet for an extended period of time during the registration period, and cannot ask a trusted family member or friend to register on your behalf, you can register using the Alternate Registration form. Email the completed form to registrar@mun.ca before your assigned registration time. This method is not available if you have any outstanding fees.
Registration priority
Memorial University uses a registration priority policy to determine the date and time of undergraduate students' registration. This system is based on the program of study, the number of credit hours earned and the grade point average.
For students new to post-secondary studies, early-offer scholarship recipients register first; all other new students register in accordance with a schedule based on the first three letters of their last name.
