Spring semester completion

If you will complete your program requirements by the end of the spring semester, the following timeline will apply to you:

Apply to graduate

Applications open in early June each year with a submission deadline of July 15.

Apply through Memorial Self-Service by submitting an Application to Graduate found under the Graduation and Convocation menu.

Graduation eligibility confirmed

Your application will be reviewed by the Registrar's Office and you will be notified if you have any missing requirements.

Notification of eligibility to graduate letters are normally sent out in early September, approximately 10-12 business days after official grades are released in August. At the same time, your graduation status in Memorial Self-Service will be updated accordingly.

Attend your convocation ceremony

Fall convocation will take place on the St. John's campus at the Arts and Culture Centre on Thursday, Oct. 17, 2024. Make sure you have registered to attend the ceremony, requested your academic dress and requested tickets for your guests. Find all the details on the convocation website.

Graduation parchments

You will receive your degree parchment at your convocation ceremony. If you do not attend your ceremony you can  at the Registrar's Office the next business day following your ceremony. It will be held for one-week. If you do not pick up your parchment during this time it will be mailed to your address listed in Memorial Self-Service.

Transcript updated

Your transcript will be updated in the week following the completion of fall convocation.
