Fall 2026 - Undergraduate important dates

Tuesday, July 14 Registration begins for eligible students using Student Self-Service.
Tuesday, July 28 Reserved seating and course restrictions lifted on or after the close of registration.
Tuesday, Aug. 25 Waitlisting of courses no longer permitted after the close of registration.
Wednesday, Aug. 26 Final waitlist email notices are sent to students where seats are available in courses. Notices continue until Thursday, Aug. 27 at 10 a.m. Students may have less than 36 hours to register for the available course after receiving the email notice from the Registrar's Office.
Thursday, Aug. 27 All waitlists deactivated as of 2 p.m. 
Wednesday, Sept. 9  Lectures begin for fall semester courses.
Last day for students to pay fees for fall semester courses without incurring the LATE PAYMENT FEE.
Wednesday, Sept. 23  Last day to add fall semester courses.
Last day to drop fall semester courses and receive a 100% refund of tuition fees.
Wednesday, Sept. 30*  National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, no lectures.
Last day to drop fall semester courses and receive a 50% refund of tuition fees.
Wednesday, Oct. 7 Last day to drop fall semester courses and receive a 25% refund of tuition fees. No tuition fees will be refunded for courses dropped after this date.
Monday, Oct. 12  Thanksgiving Day, no lectures.
Fall semester break begins at St. John's campus and Grenfell Campus.
Wednesday, Oct. 14 Lectures resume at St. John's campus and Grenfell Campus.
Thursday, Oct. 15 Lectures will follow the Tuesday schedule on this day only.
Wednesday, Nov. 4 Last day for students to drop fall semester courses without academic prejudice.
Wednesday, Nov. 11 Remembrance Day, no lectures.
Friday, Nov. 13 Lectures will follow the Wednesday schedule on this day only.
Monday, Dec. 7 Lectures end for fall semester courses.
Thursday, Dec. 10 Examinations begin for fall semester courses.
Friday, Dec. 18 Examinations end for fall semester courses.
Tuesday, Dec. 22 Final fall semester grades released via Student Self-Service by 5 p.m. 

*As Sept. 30 is a national holiday, the Office of the Registrar will be closed. Therefore, for courses which cannot be added or dropped via Student Self-Service, course change forms will be processed on the next business day without financial penalty.
