Parchments

Undergraduate and graduate degree parchments are normally awarded during convocation. If you attend your convocation ceremony you will receive your parchment after you've crossed the stage. If you do not attend convocation (or you are graduating in absentia) you can pick-up your parchment at the Registrar's Office or it will be mailed to you.

Diploma and certificate parchments are issued immediately following each graduation period.

Parchment pick-up

Parchments are available for pick-up, during office hours, at the Registrar's Office for one-week following your convocation session.

  • St. John's campus: A 2003
  • Grenfell Campus: AS 277

Make sure to bring your MUN ID or some form of government-issued ID.

Mailing parchments

Parchments not picked up after the one-week period will be mailed to your address listed in Memorial Self-Service. Confirm your permanent and convocation mailing addresses and phone numbers are active and valid.

International addresses require a clear and complete physical address and contact phone number. Parchments sent to an international address will be confirmed with you through your @mun email before being sent via DHL.

Replacement parchments

Graduates are normally issued only one copy of their parchment in their lifetime, however, replacement parchments can be issued if necessary.

Credential verification

Your Memorial transcript reflects each credential that has been awarded to you along with the date awarded. If you require additional verification of your graduation or credentials (e.g. degree, diploma or certificate) for submission to a third party, you can request a credential verification.
