Graduation, Parchments, and Verification
Undergraduate and graduate degree parchments are awarded at Convocation. Diploma and certificate parchments are issued immediately following each Convocation period. Graduates are normally issued only one copy of their parchment in their lifetime. The Memorial University transcript reflects each credential that has been awarded to a person along with the date of the award.
Spring 2019 Convocation/Graduation
Parchments, other than those for degrees awarded at the Corner Brook Convocation, may be picked up from the Registrar’s Office from Monday, June 3 to Friday, June 7, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:20 p.m.
- To authorize another person to pick up your parchment send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org from your university @mun.ca email account confirming the person’s name.
- An ID is required for any person picking up a parchment in person.
- Any parchments that remain with the Registrar’s Office after Friday, June 7 will be mailed beginning on Monday, June 10. These are mailed in batches over a one-week period.
If you expect to receive your parchment by mail, check your Personal Information within Memorial Self-Service to ensure that your address and phone number are active and valid and update these if necessary. International addresses require a clear and complete physical address and contact phone number.
