Psychology Society
The Psychology Society is a student-run organization with goals to raise awareness about mental health, engage students in the field of psychology, and to foster a positive and encouraging learning environment for students. These goals are accomplished by:
- Increasing awareness about mental health.
- Supporting mental health initiatives in the community through fundraising.
- Engaging students at Grenfell Campus through fun events and fundraisers.
Fundraising activities are held during the year, which allow the Psychology Society to plan numerous events (e.g., social with psychology professors, graduation festivities) and donate to non-profit organizations.
The Psychology Society meets weekly throughout the academic year. Everyone is welcome to attend meetings. Keep an eye out for posters around campus with more information on how to be involved in the Psychology Society. For up-to-date news and events, follow on Facebook (Grenfell Campus Psychology Society), Instagram (@gcpsychsociety), and Snapchat (@psychsocietygc).

Sitwat Sayeedi (she/her)
Secretary
Hi Everyone! I am Sitwat, and I am the secretary of the psych society for the third year in a row. I am an international student from the Philippines, and I am currently in my fourth year of studies doing a BSc in Psychology, and I have no regrets. I am also the main point of contact for the society and I am in charge of taking the meeting minutes every time we have one. Through the society, I have met so many new people and have been a part of hosting multiple events, which have been received well by students so far. I definitely look forward to my last year of making fun memories with the society and with my friends as well!
Tianna Brake (She/They)
Vice-President
Howdy folks, my name is Tianna, otherwise affectionately known as T. I have been a casual member of the psych society for 2 years, but am very excited to be on the executive team as I complete my 5th year at Grenfell (B.Sc. Psychology - honors). It’s important to me that psych society continues to be an inclusive and supportive environment for all students who might be interested in psychology – or those who are just looking to get involved, make some friends, and enjoy some events around campus. You can often find me in AS348 gabbing, but I also love paddle-boarding, reading, and baking. And I’m looking forward to spending my final year at Grenfell sharing laughs, coffee, and occasional chaos with this fantastic group of people!
Jenna Boardman (she/her)
President
Hey everyone, my name is Jenna Boardman, and I am the president of the Psych Society again this year (2025/26). I have been involved in the society since I began my studies at Grenfell back in 2022, and am extremely excited for another great year leading the society. I look forward to working with my fellow executive team members, faculty of the psychology department, and any other students interested in psychology! I am currently in the fourth year of my B.Sc. Psychology (Hons). The psych society is an amazing way to get involved on campus, meet new friends, and support local non-profit organizations throughout our community. We strive to advocate for mental health awareness and encourage students to learn about the amazing world of psychology. If you have any questions about the society, feel free to reach out or come find me around campus. I look forward to meeting and hanging out with you all!
