Teaching Interests
I teach a variety of courses on the physiological side of psychology. At the second and third year levels these courses include biological psychology, sensation and perception, and cognition. I also teach research methods and design, the senior seminar class, and the fourth-year independent projects. My favourite course to teach is Introductory Psychology and I have taught that here at Grenfell Campus, at McMaster University in Hamilton, and online to students studying at North Arctic College in Nunavut.
Research Interests
My research interests are very broad and I have conducted research on performance monitoring (from a cognitive neuroscience perspective), the perceptions of tattoos in professional settings, the perception of food/flavour, aviator cognition, and video games to name a few areas. Currently, I am interested in music perception from both neuroscience and social psychological perspectives.
