Final Exams
Invigilation guidelines for remote learning
With the start of the formal examination period for Fall 2020, beginning on Dec. 9, 2020, it is recommended to review the Examinations and Invigilation Guidelines for the Remote Learning Environment approved by Senate this fall.
Exam schedules
Final exams schedules for the current semester/session are normally posted two to three weeks after the end of the registration period.
Writing your exam
Review the information about writing your exams and ensure that you have confirmed the time and location of your exams.
If you require accessible accommodations for your final exams, you should contact the Blundon Centre on the St. John's campus or the Learning Centre at Grenfell Campus.
Conflicts, deferrals and exemptions
If you have conflicts in your exam schedule or have three exams within a 24 hour period, you may choose to write an exam in quarantine. If you are prevented from writing a final exam due to illness, bereavement, or another acceptable cause, you may apply for a deferral or exemption. You should review the information on deferred exams in the university Calendar and speak with the academic unit of the specific course/examination.
Final examination re-reads
As a student, you have the option of having your final examination re-read. With the consent of the academic unit, requests for rereads can include clinicals, exams, internships, work terms or final reports, as appropriate.
