The Registrar's Office provides academic support services and systems to prospective and current students - from initial contact to application, academic advising, registration and graduation - and strives to implement continuous improvements to these services and systems.
Together with offices at Grenfell Campus and Marine Institute, the Registrar's Office serves the University community, including those involved in online learning.
Student services during the 2025 Canada Games
Memorial University is a proud partner of the 2025 Canada Games, running from Aug. 8-25. During the Games, St. John’s campus will continue to support students but encourages students to plan ahead when visiting campus. Students may experience increased traffic, reduced parking and temporary changes to the level of in-person services. If seeking an in-person appointment with a service provider, students are encouraged to reach out to confirm hours and in-person availability before coming to campus.
The Registrar’s Office main counter, located in A2003, will be open during this time with limited resources. Should you need to be on campus to visit the Registrar’s Office, we encourage you to email beforehand to ensure that your inquiry can be handled appropriately.
If you are seeking academic advice, please email as the Academic Advising Centre staff will be working remotely and offering virtual appointments only during this time.

- Regularly check your @mun.ca email address for any important information (for example, faculty emails about registration).
- Double check the course offerings before you register to ensure there have been no changes.
- Seek academic advice if you are unsure what courses you should register for.
Memorial University is expanding its support for Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) members to have their military service experience and education recognized as course credit equivalents.
The intention is to help those who serve or have served complete their degree, certificate or diploma programs faster and with less expense.
Known as prior learning assessment and recognition (PLAR), it is a process Memorial uses in certain scenarios to evaluate the knowledge and skills a person has acquired outside of its classrooms and laboratories. More information on how this program works can be found on the CAF-PLAR website.
A preliminary Diary of Important Dates for the 2025-26 academic year is available. The official version of this diary will be published as part of the 2025-2026 University Academic Calendar in September 2025.
