Winter Semester Completion
Due to the continuing COVID-19 pandemic, Memorial University is postponing the spring 2021 convocation ceremonies for St. John’s and Corner Brook. However, students who have applied to graduate this spring and have met all the university’s requirements will be awarded their degrees, certificates and diplomas on May 19 and be sent them by mail shortly afterwards.
If you will complete your program requirements by the end of the winter semester, the following timeline will apply to you:
Apply to graduate
Application opens Nov. 1, 2020 with a submission deadline of Jan. 15, 2021.
Apply through Memorial Self-Service by submitting an Application to Graduate found under the Graduation and Convocation menu.
Graduation eligibility confirmed
Your application will be reviewed by the Registrar's Office and you will be notified if you have any missing requirements.
Notification of eligibility letters are normally sent out 10-12 business days after official grades are released in April and incrementally thereafter. At the same time, your graduation status in Memorial Self-Service will be updated accordingly.
