GMAT waivers
- You may be eligible for a GMAT waiver if you:
- Have an undergraduate degree from Memorial
- Hold an undergraduate business or commerce degree from an AACSB-accredited school
- Have completed our GDBA and achieved an overall average of 80 per cent with no grade less than 75 per cent
- Are a member in good standing of the following professional bodies:
- Associate of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries (ACIA)
- Chartered financial analyst (CFA)
- Chartered professional accountants (CPA)
- Doctor of medicine (MD)
- Doctor of pharmacy (Pharm.D)
- Juris doctor (JD) or bachelor of laws (LLB)
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.)
Course exemptions
Relevant coursework for which students have received academic credit in business, economics and statistics may be eligible for up to 10 of the 12 required MBA courses.
International opportunities
We have exchange agreements with universities in 15 different countries. Spend a semester or two experiencing a different learning and cultural environment while earning credits toward your MBA degree and paying Memorial tuition.
Stackable credentials
Our programs are stackable. Start with our Graduate Program in Business Administration (GDBA) and earn an academic credential on your way to an MBA. All five GDBA courses and special fees count towards your MBA program.

Creative Destruction Lab (CDL)-Atlantic: This global startup program for seed-stage, science-based companies pairs Atlantic Canadian startups with MBA students from Memorial and other Atlantic Canadian universities on consulting projects.
Entrepreneurship Training Program: This educational program helps graduate students interested in starting a business and learning the fundamentals of entrepreneurship.
The Fund: Memorial’s student-managed investment fund provides a supportive environment to learn from finance professionals and develop career-related skills in investment analysis and communication.
Insight Business Consulting Program: This paid fellowship program matches start-up companies with MBA students for one semester to provide expertise in a specific area of business.
Mitacs Business Strategy Internship: This paid internship enables students to develop innovative projects that help organizations thrive.
