Centre for Social Enterprise
A collaboration between the Faculty of Business Administration and the School of Social Work and the School of Music, Memorial's Centre for Social Enterprise acts as a catalyst to nurture social entrepreneurs and strengthen social enterprises in Newfoundland and Labrador through three strategic pillars:
- Support teaching and learning activities across all Memorial campuses
- Provide opportunities for students through the “Work Experience in Social Enterprise” program, the Social Ventures Incubator and special events
- Support research in social enterprise and innovation by Memorial faculty
The centre works within the social entrepreneurial ecosystem to create linkages among students, faculty, community, and company leaders for networking and mentorship opportunities. It's a platform to support creative linkages between academic disciplines to nurture innovation in social entrepreneurship.
