Lauren Quinlan is a fourth-year Bachelor of Commerce Co-op student anticipating graduation in April 2027. Her passion for learning and gaining new experiences has led her to advance from junior analyst in 2023 to sector and Stakeholder Relations Management positions in just one year with The Fund.

Outside of the Fund, Lauren works at BDO Canada LLP in assurance, where she enjoys gaining hands-on experience in customer relations, market research, and strategic planning. She has also held a role on the Relay for Life committee at Memorial University, raising money to fund cancer research. Last semester, Lauren had the privilege to lead a group of fellow colleagues from the Fund to compete in the William & Mary Women’s Stock Pitch competition in Virginia, where they earned third place among 22 prestigious competitors, including Penn State, UMass Amherst, and defending champions Utah State. This experience was a defining moment that solidified her passion for a career in finance, where she can combine analytical thinking with strategic decision-making. O

utside of academics, Lauren is a member of the Open Starlites, a national champion synchronized skating team that operates without a coach. This unique environment has shaped her leadership and adaptability, as she and her teammates share responsibility for planning, strategizing, and driving continuous improvement.

Upon graduation, Lauren plans to pursue a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation and pursue a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree.
