October 24–26, 2025 

The third annual CPA-NL Data & Analytics (CPA DnA) Competition invites Memorial students to explore the exciting world of data analytics while competing for cash prizes and connecting with industry leaders.

This case competition helps students develop valuable career skills such as teamwork, problem-solving, and presentation, while also raising awareness of how data analytics is transforming the accounting profession.

Hosted by the Faculty of Business Administration in partnership with Chartered Professional Accountants of Newfoundland and Labrador (CPA-NL), this year’s event will focus on market opportunities for Newfoundland and Labrador in the face of changing trade relationships.

Why participate?

• Compete for cash prizes of up to $5,000
• Gain hands-on experience in data analytics

• Learn about CPA Canada’s new data analytics competency requirements
• Strengthen your teamwork and presentation skills

Who can participate?

• Open to all current Memorial students (undergraduate or graduate)
• Teams of 4 students (with at least 2 admitted undergraduate business students)
• Free to participate (meals provided)
• A minimum of 5 teams is required; a maximum of 12 will be accepted.

How to apply

• Deadline: Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2025
• Teams confirmed:Friday, Oct. 16 (via Memorial email)
• One team member must apply as team captain. Only complete team applications will be accepted.
