Welcome to Business at Memorial

On the eastern-most edge of North America lies a province rich with possibilities and full of discovery.

Newfoundland and Labrador is the first place in North America to greet the dawn each day. It was home to the continent’s earliest English settlements, and in 1901, Signal Hill made history as the site where Guglielmo Marconi received the first transatlantic wireless signal, ushering in the age of global communications.

This tradition of innovation and leadership inspires and guides everything we do.

At the Faculty of Business Administration, we’re proud to have our own history of firsts. We were the first business school in Canada to launch a co-operative undergraduate business degree, and the first to earn national accreditation for our commerce program. In 2002, we became Atlantic Canada’s first business school to achieve the world’s most prestigious international accreditation. And in 2018, we created Canada’s first MBA in social enterprise and entrepreneurship.

Like the wild, ever changing natural environment that surrounds us, and upon which the province’s culture and history are built, the Faculty of Business Administration continually grows and adapts.

From our early days as a small school with a single program to our current status as a recognized leader in Canadian business and management education, we remain committed to cultivating a vibrant community of students, faculty and staff who seek excellence in all they do. We enable an environment in which leading the way is more than words on paper: it’s built into the very fabric of who we are.

It’s in our nature.
