Kishan Gurung has demonstrated admirable community involvement since beginning the master of business administration (MBA) program at Memorial in 2017.

A native of Kathmandu, Nepal, Mr. Gurung currently volunteers as a campus ambassador for Guard.me International Insurance, where he leads outreach to Memorial students. He has served as executive director of social affairs for the MBA Students’ Association, where he organized networking and professional development events, and completed the Entrepreneurship Training Program in 2018, leading to the launch of a custom-printing company in Nepal. Mr. Gurung contributes greatly to the success of his peers by guiding new MBA students to develop course strategies as well as acting as team leader for many course projects.

Mr. Gurung's academic success has been recognized with several awards and scholarships including the Wood Gundy Scholarship for Graduate Business Studies, which recognizes demonstrated leadership ability and contributions to the larger community. He’s also received the Gar Pynn Scholarship in Business and Imperial Tobacco Canada Limited Graduate Scholarship in Business Studies from the Faculty of Business Administration.
