The fourth annual CPA-NL Data & Analytics (CPA DnA) Competition invites Memorial students to explore the exciting world of data analytics while competing for cash prizes and connecting with industry leaders.

This case competition helps students develop valuable career skills such as teamwork, problem-solving, and presentation, while also raising awareness of how data analytics is transforming the accounting profession.

Hosted by the Faculty of Business Administration in partnership with Chartered Professional Accountants of Newfoundland and Labrador (CPA-NL) and Cenovus Energy this year’s event will focus on operational and environmental challenges facing Newfoundland and Labrador’s offshore oil and gas industry.

Why participate?

• Compete for cash prizes totaling $5,000

Who can participate?

• Open to all current Memorial students (undergraduate or graduate)
• Teams must consist of four (4) students
• Each team must include at least two (2) undergraduate students who have declared a major in Business Administration
• Participation is free, meals and snacks will be provided

How to register

• Participants should review the Competition Rules before registering, including the eligibility and team selection requirements.
• Complete the online registration form before Friday, October 9, 2026
• One team member should complete the registration form on behalf of the team
• At least one Memorial University email address must be provided
• Only complete registrations that meet all eligibility requirements will be considered for participation.
• Eligible teams will be accepted in the order that complete registrations are received. Participation is limited to twelve (12) teams.
• Teams selected to participate will be notified by Friday, October 16, 2026 (via Memorial email)
