Dr. Gordon Cooke’s primary area of research is non-standard work (i.e. temporary, on-call, casual jobs and all types of work scheduling variations). This has led to examinations of the differences in working conditions between older versus younger workers, between urban versus rural workers, and/or between individuals in Newfoundland and those in other locations like Ontario, Ireland and beyond.
