Departure for Harlow from St. John's: June 29, 2015, Air Canada flight 822, leaving St. John's 2205, arrive London 0635 the next morning.

Return from Harlow to St. John's: August 11, 2015, Air Canada flight 823. Depart London 1300, arrive St. John's 1505.

Students can make arragements to return later if desired.

Admission

There are no prerequisites, and students from a wide range of backgrounds in the Arts (Folklore, Archaeology, English, History, Geography, Linguistics, Medieval Studies, Political Science, Sociology) have taken the program. Students from the Sciences (Biology, Psychology, Nursing, Computer Sciences) as well as Business and Human Kinetics have also participated. The instructors assume that most students will have had little background experience with the program topics, and, thus, all students are welcome.

Application

Students who wish to participate in the programme must complete an application form which can either be downloaded from this site or obtained from Jerry Pocius (864-8366 or gpocius@mun.ca). The deadline for applications is November 26, 2014. Students accepted for the program will be required to pay a $300 non-refundable deposit by noon, December 17, 2014.

Costs

Tuition fees for courses: Paid to Memorial University as usual.

Programme fee: The program fee for the English Cultural Landscape programme is $4125, which includes the initial deposit of $300. The balance of the programme fee ($3825) is due around May 1, 2015. This programme fee covers return airfare, transfers to and from Heathrow Airport to Harlow, six weeks accommodation at Harlow, five weekly evening meals, approximately twenty field trips, entrance fees for the field trips, lunches on field trips and a Student Rail Card.
