Safety and Risk Engineering Group launches new website

“We are very pleased to announce the launch of our website –www.mun.ca/engineering/research/sreg/. This is another step in our effort to share knowledge,” said Dr. Faisal Khan, Vale Chair in Process Safety and Risk Engineering and the principal researcher in the safety and risk engineering group (SREG) at Memorial University. “This website is a tool for communication with academia and industry. We emphasize on making information and resources available for interested researchers and professionals,” explained Dr. Khan.

Since recognizing the need for a website on safety and risk engineering, Dr. Khan and his group worked to develop the website. “We appreciate the help and support from the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science and MUN Computing and Communications department during the development of the website” emphasized Dr. Khan. Dr. Khan has praising words for Dr. Ahmed’s leadership and for the team of dedicated researchers. “I am deeply impressed with the team’s dedication, sincerity and hard work”, added by Dr. Khan.

Safety and Risk Engineering Group (SREG) is a venue to share information and a platform to engage in collaborative development towards safer and greener process plants including operations in harsh environment. The website will be updated on a regular basis, based on feedback from our visitors and our team alike. We encourage our visitors to provide feedback by contacting us at sreg@mun.ca.
