Co-Op Students Honoured at 2026 Director's Awards

Apr 28th, 2026

Nine FEAS co-op students were recently recognized for their oustanding efforts at the 2026 FEAS Co-Operative Education Director's Awards.

The Director’s Award for Exemplary Work Terms is presented to senior engineering students who have completed all their work terms with distinction. These students have achieved a grade of “Outstanding” in both the performance and communications components of every single work term, earning a “Pass with Distinction” across the board. This recognition is based on exceptional feedback from employers and recommendations from our academic staff members.

This year's winners are:

  • Daniel Dolomount, Computer
  • Anna Jewer, Mechanical
  • Chantal McDonald, Mechanical

The Director’s Award for Outstanding Work Terms recognizes one student in each major—six students in total—who have demonstrated consistent excellence throughout a significant number of work terms. These individuals have also earned “Pass with Distinction” for multiple work terms and have stood out among their peers through their professionalism, communication skills, and overall impact.

This year's winners are:

  • Kyla Russell, Civil
  • Ally Reid, Computer
  • Duc Huy Ngo, Electrical
  • Mark Johnson, Mechanical
  • Jade Cooper, ONAE
  • Simon Rose, Process

Co-op employers were also recognized via Employers' Recognition Awards, which honour the incredible employers who have played a vital role in the success of FEAS co-op students. These awards acknowledge the supportive and enriching environments employers create, where students are encouraged to grow, take initiative and pursue excellence.
