Engineering Student Success at 10th Annual Mel Woodward Cup

The 10th annual Mel Woodward Cup startup pitch competition saw students from a number of disciplines vie for the $25,000 prize in front of a live audience. Ultimately, the panel of esteemed judges decided OmaScan – a team comprised of final-year engineering students who developed their concept in Memorial Centre for Entrepreneurship’s startup incubator – deserved top honours for their 3D modelling tool aimed at assisting occupational therapists with senior care. Seam Fishing, another team of engineering students, received $15,000 for their unique fishing net design as runner up.
