Event description:

This is a lunchtime (2-hr) professional development workshop to introduce you to the potential benefits of practicing mindfulness in the engineering context. Mindfulness practices have been shown to help train awareness, facilitate clearer thinking, support employee well-being and resiliency, improve workplace relationships and help people navigate stress and anxiety.

Join seasoned mindfulness instructor Andrew Safer and facilitator Dr. Janna Rosales (Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science, Memorial University) who will guide you through a basic mindfulness practice with discussion and reflection on the ways that mindfulness can support your professional growth and development.

Workshop participation is available in-person and via videoconference. A light lunch will be provided to on-site participants.

The first 25 attendees at the workshop will receive a complimentary copy of the book “Anxiety, Stress & Mindfulness: A Do-It-Yourself Guide to Wellness” by Andrew Safer
