Surface finish electro-polisher (DLyte PRO100)

*will be located in EN-1023

The DLyte PRO100, manufactured by GPAINNOVA, is an industrial-scale surface finishing system designed for the high-volume dry electropolishing of complex metal components. Utilizing patented DryLyte Technology, the system employs solid electrolyte particles and a sophisticated combination of planetary rotation, axial turn, and vertical oscillation to achieve a mirror-like finish with surface roughness (Ra) under 0.01 micrometers. This PRO model is specifically engineered for mass production, allowing for the simultaneous treatment of multiple workpieces. It effectively processes challenging alloys—including Cobalt-Chrome, Titanium, Nickel, and Stainless Steel—while ensuring exceptional geometry preservation and enhanced corrosion resistance. The system is fully Industry 4.0 ready, integrating with the DLyte HUB for real-time process monitoring, traceability, and automated parameter optimization based on electrolyte conductivity and temperature.

Wire electrical discharge machining (Wire EDM)

In additive manufacturing (AM), wire EDM is a critical post-processing tool primarily used to separate metal parts from their build plates with high precision. Because it is a non-contact process, it can remove complex or fragile 3D-printed components without the mechanical stress or vibration associated with traditional band saws, ensuring the geometrical accuracy of the part is maintained. Beyond simple cut-offs, wire EDM is used to improve surface finishes and achieve tight tolerances on critical features of AM parts, often replacing several manual finishing steps.
