Abstract
High-throughput expression profiling techniques have gained significant popularity over past years. The goal of the project is to facilitate the biological interpretation of results from expressionprofiling experiments. In particular, we will provide researchers with gene sets (for examplepathways) associated to the biological phenomenon under study and their likely regulators. Toachieve this goal we will build a system where users can input the gene expression profile data fromtheir expression profiling experiments and get a list of disturbed gene sets and inferredtranscription factors that possibly regulate these gene sets. In addition to the data from theexpression profiling experiment, the system will also need a database of gene sets and quantitativeinformation about the binding of specific transcription factors in the regulatory regions of genes.
