At the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences we’ve been active in our communities since long before engagement became a buzz word. In fact, without the active encouragement and collaboration of the various communities of Newfoundland and Labrador, we probably wouldn’t be the faculty we are today. That’s why we have a special award for communities who help us with our research. That’s why our researchers are regularly highlighted by the Office of Public Engagement. And that’s why our alumni continue to engage with us and the communities they live in on a daily basis.

Our communities are our strength and our future. They send us their best and brightest every year. We in turn send our researchers to every corner of the province where they explore language, unearth the past and tell stories.
