Welcome to Memorial University and the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences!

Fall 2026 Orientation Day will begin with Memorial’s welcome orientation at the Field House (9:30 am arrival). Students will then be escorted to their respective faculties at 10:45 am.

The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS) orientation will provide essential information as you start this educational journey. You will hear from the Dean of HSS and Associate Dean of Curriculum and Programs, learn more about areas of study within HSS, get to know our faculty and staff, and meet other HSS students! 

• 11:00 - 11:45 am – Information session with the Dean and Associate Dean of HSS - Room IIC 2001
• 11:45 am – 12:45 pm - departmental booth fair - IIC lower-level atrium
