Personal Profile
Mohammad Al Saaideh is a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Memorial University of Newfoundland, Canada. He received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Jordan in 2013 and 2020, respectively, and his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Memorial University of Newfoundland in 2024.
His research focuses on intelligent mechatronic systems, nonlinear system identification, data-driven modeling, and advanced control methodologies. His work integrates Koopman operator theory, machine learning, and physics-based modeling to develop predictive and inverse control strategies for complex dynamical systems.
His research applications include adaptive optics and deformable mirrors, precision motion systems, wafer-handling robotics, piezoelectric and reluctance actuators, and intelligent sensor systems. He is also interested in fault detection, condition monitoring, and data-driven methods for improving the reliability and performance of engineering systems.
In addition to his research activities, he contributes to interdisciplinary research collaborations, research proposal development, and highly qualified personnel training. He serves as the Coordinator of the NSERC CREATE-SWIFT training program, supporting collaborative research and training activities involving academic and non-academic partners.
