On Jan. 28, 2026, Memorial University announced it is divesting real estate that is not central to its academic mission, including Harlow Campus. Therefore, academic programming and events at Harlow concluded on Aug. 31, 2026. You can read more details around the divestment decision in the Gazette.  

The learning experiences at Harlow have been transformative for our alumni. Harlow’s legacy will continue through Memorial’s commitment to fostering meaningful global learning opportunities for Memorial students now and into the future.  

Currently, Memorial has partnerships with 180+ universities in over 50 countries through our Go Abroad program. To create more opportunities for students from Newfoundland and Labrador to study abroad, Memorial will reinvest any net proceeds from the sale of the property to make global learning opportunities more accessible, thereby preserving the spirit of Harlow in new ways.
