School of Pharmacy raises over $1300 for HIV/AIDS

The School of Pharmacy's involvement in the Scotiabank AIDS Walk for Life was once again a success.

The school raised a total of $1389 to support provincial programming and education services for those living with and at risk for HIV infection.

Dr. Debbie Kelly serves on the AIDS Committee of Newfoundland and Labrador (ACNL) Board of Directors, and organized the School of Pharmacy team.

"I'd like to extend my heartfelt thanks to all the students who came out for the walk, as well as the faculty, staff, students and friends who supported the cause."

The Walk for Life is the major annual fundraiser for the ACNL - a small local organization committed to preventing the spread of HIV and Hepatitis C, and supports people living with and/or affected by the afflictions.
