Become a Preceptor

The Structured Practice Experience (SPE) Program is an integral component of the course of study leading to the Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree at Memorial University. Many of our alumni already act as preceptors. It is a rewarding way to stay connected with the school and with the entire pharmacy community.

The program's purpose is to have students observe and practice the skills necessary to become a pharmacist. It is intended to bridge the gap between the academic study of pharmacy and the practice of pharmacy.

Under the direct supervision of pharmacist preceptors, students are given the opportunity to apply their university-gained knowledge and training to deal with patients and practice situations in order to achieve proficiency and competency in performing the functions of a pharmacist.
