Priorities for Support
Improving our students’ learning experience is our greatest need for support. While our instruction shines, we envision an even more enriching teaching and learning environment.
We want our students to be inspired by their surroundings. The School of Pharmacy is their second home and they will spend five important years of their lives here.
They deserve spaces that feature state-of-the-art, 21st century learning technologies. They deserve informal, community gathering space, refurbished lecture theatres and laboratories, and space that makes them feel comfortable and at home. They deserve spaces to study and connect, recharge and reflect.
We would be thrilled to have our donors become a part of this exciting next chapter in the school’s evolution, and to improve the learning experience for future generations of pharmacists and leaders in health care.
We are embarking on exciting new research establishments, including:
A Pharmacy Practice Centre. This centre will examine the enhanced role of pharmacists in health care with the goal of maximizing the im pact on the improvement of health. Additionally, we will be assessing the value for money of pharmacist programs to ensure the services provided are sustainable and cost-effective. Within the Centre, we will house the Medication Therapy Services (MTS) Clinic, - a site where pharmacists will provide medication-related care to patients.
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) for Working Professional Program
As we continue to develop our Entry-to-Practice Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program, the need for a complimentary PharmD for Working Professional Program has become apparent. Learning and mentorship opportunities will exist in this program, as well as the chance to fund innovative learning technologies that will allow the program to be offered to pharmacists across the province. Become involved in building an exciting new opportunity for pharmacists across Newfoundland and Labrador, from the ground up!
Scholarships and Awards
We are so grateful to the alumni and friends of the school who have supported our students – many of whom would face greater challenges in attaining their pharmacy education.
