Our research focuses on green chemistry, encompassing several themes:

1. Carbon dioxide utilization (with CIRCUIT -Centre for Innovation and Research on Carbon Utilization in Industrial Technologies)

2. Catalysis (including organometallic chemistry)

3. 'Green' polymers and materials (including biorenewable and degradable materials)

4. Renewable feedstocks (especially 'waste' from forestry and food sectors e.g. shells from mussels)

Much of our research encompasses aspects of Materials Science including nanoparticles, biorenewable materials and polymer chemistry.
