The Department of Chemistry at Memorial University is a research intensive university located on the eastern coast of Canada. We offer degrees at the Bachelors (B.Sc.), Honours (B.Sc. (Hons.)), Master's, and Doctoral (Ph.D.) level.
Students in our department receive training in both fundamental and advanced topics in chemistry. We place a high priority on providing our students with opportunities to get hands-on experience working in research laboratories. Our department also offers more than a dozen generous scholarships each year.

Minor in Chemistry
Students can complete a Minor in Chemistry in conjunction with their major degree. Completing a minor in chemistry can set you apart to employers and admission committees.
Students in process engineering can also complete a minor in chemistry through a different set of requirements.
The Department of Chemistry has a large and vibrant graduate program. We have excellent research facilities with modern instrumentation. We offer generous funding to support both Canadian and international graduate students.
