Kalene Hines

Personal Profile:

Kalene is originally from Nova Scotia, Canada. She moved to Newfoundland in September 2012 to attend Memorial University of Newfoundland. She completed her Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Ocean and Naval Architectural Engineering in May 2017. With multiple work terms in the oil and gas industry, specifically related to drilling, she found her passion and decided to join the DTL group and work towards obtaining her Master of Engineering Degree in Oil and Gas Engineering. Kalene’s research includes work related to the passive-Vibration Assisted Rotary Drilling (p-VARD) tool. She is currently undergoing laboratory experiments to further define the tools operating principles.
