Postdoctoral Fellow Position - Near-wellbore imaging

TheFaculty of Engineering and Applied Science at Memorial University is seeking to fill in a Post Doctoral Position focused on high resolution near-wellbore imaging. This work is part of a larger research and development project aimed at developing new mining methods by drilling. The position requires a background in one or more of the following subject areas: drilling tool development; geophysics; non-destructive testing; electronics; mechatronics; instrumentation design; tool prototyping.

Candidates with an earned PhD or who are in the final stages of a current PhD program in a STEM area can apply by sending a CV and expression of interest outlining their expertise related to the focus of the PDF position via email to Prof. Stephen Butt at DrillingLab@mun.ca with the phrase "PDF near-wellbore" in the subject line. The PDF appointment is scheduled to begin April 1 or earliest thereafter and is for a 1 year term renewable for a second year depending on research productivity and performance. Note that this position is a subject to final budgetary approval.
